Workshop on the National Data Center Ecosystem & .AO Domain

MSTelcom had a prominent presence at the Workshop on the National Data Center Ecosystem & the .AO Domain, held on Wednesday, 26 November, at the Talatona Convention Hotel. The event, organized by the Institute for the Promotion of the Information Society (INFOSI), brought together public and private entities, as well as experts from the telecommunications and information technology sectors.

The company was represented by the Chairwoman of the Executive Committee (CEO), Felisberta de Jesus, who participated in the roundtable dedicated to Ecosystem Mapping and Installed Capacity. During the session, she shared MSTelcom’s perspective on strengthening the country’s technological infrastructure and the strategic role of data centers in Angola’s digital development.

During the ceremony, MSTelcom was awarded a Trophy and a Certificate of Honor by the Communications Development Support Fund (FADCOM), in recognition of the company’s ongoing contribution to ensuring universal service, promoting digital inclusion nationwide, and implementing sustainable projects in connectivity, innovation, and capacity building.

In remarks at the event, Felisberta de Jesus highlighted that “this distinction reflects MSTelcom’s unwavering commitment to supporting Angola’s technological development by promoting solutions that reinforce the digital ecosystem and foster socio-economic growth.”

The event also featured several distinguished guests, including the Minister of Information Technologies and Social Communication, Mário de Oliveira, who emphasized the importance of cooperation between the State and the business sector to expand digital services and strengthen national technological sovereignty.

The workshop reaffirmed the strategic importance of data centers and the .AO domain as essential pillars for modernizing digital services and consolidating Angola’s technological ecosystem.
